RationFEED uses patented optical methods and AI to count uneaten pellets escaping through the effluent in real time. The camera is mounted outside the water, looking into the outflow pipe, and distinguishes pellets from fish waste even in turbulent flows.
RationFEED works with any feeding system that includes an API. Current integrations include Scale, AKVA Group, Arvotech, Fluctus, and Laksesystemet. A local computer with read and write access to the feeding system is required for automatic control.
The camera is mounted outside the water using custom fasteners fitted to your tank setup. No submerged equipment is needed. Installation typically completes the same day, with full calibration within about two weeks.
The camera and optics are designed to be self-cleaning and operate out of water, so routine cleaning is not required. This means control remains stable and unaffected by biofouling or maintenance schedules.
When RationFEED detects that pellet waste is increasing or decreasing, it automatically adjusts the appetite factor on your feeding system. This keeps feeding matched to fish appetite in real time, reducing waste and improving water quality.
RationOVA mounts above your existing conveyor belt system. Computer vision captures and analyzes each ovum as it passes, counting and grading at full production speed without slowing your line.
Yes. RationOVA uses computer vision to identify and sort defective ova automatically. Grading is consistent regardless of operator or shift, replacing the variability of manual inspection.
RationOVA processes ova at conveyor belt speed, handling high volumes without bottlenecks. Exact throughput depends on your line speed and ova size, which we configure during installation.
Real-time counts and quality metrics are available on a cloud dashboard. You can track batch quality over time, view cumulative counts and defect rates, and export data for traceability and compliance.
RationOVA is designed for salmon ova on conveyor belt systems used in hatchery and broodstock operations. Custom positioning is configured for your specific line speed and ova size.
RationCOUNTER uses computer vision to track individual fish as they pass through a controlled channel. Each fish is captured across multiple frames, which prevents double counts and missed fish even at high flow speeds.
Yes. Each fish is individually imaged, providing size measurements and weight estimates. Session summaries include total count, throughput, and detailed size distribution data for biomass planning and reporting.
The counter is designed with fish welfare as a core priority. The passage geometry supports smooth, continuous flow with minimal obstruction and short handling time. Fish pass individually through a controlled channel under conditions that reduce stress.
RationCOUNTER integrates into existing pipe or raceway systems with custom mounting for your facility layout. Transfers and grading events are the ideal counting opportunity since each fish passes individually.
RationCOUNTER works with any fish species in land-based aquaculture. It is designed for counting during transfers and grading where fish pass through pipes or raceways.
RationFEED was initially designed for land-based salmon farms but works with any species in recirculating or flow-through systems. RationOVA handles salmon ova on conveyor belt systems. RationCOUNTER counts and measures live fish of any species.
RationFEED is typically installed and counting waste pellets the same day. We can provide custom fasteners to suit all tank set ups. Full calibration takes about two weeks. No submerged equipment required.
RationFEED works with any feeding system that includes an API. Current integrations include Scale, AKVA Group, Arvotech, Fluctus, and Laksesystemet.
Yes. RationFEED trials are offered on a rental contract. If the device does not improve your operations during the trial period, you can return it for a full refund.
